We are pleased to present another project executed by our Cracow Branch, which involved the fitting out of the lecture theatre of one of the universities in southern Poland with seats. The assignment was awarded to us by the General Contractor that renovated several rooms at the university. We received an official request for quotation. Our proposal was accepted and we could get begin to work.
The interior design of the lecture theatre is the type of project we executed several times in the past, thus the quote preparation was not a problem for us – it was delivered quickly and it complied with provided specification. It turned out that the investor counted on cost-effective solution, which would not exceed a certain cost level. Therefore, we had to revise our initial assumptions thoroughly and implement slight modifications but still comply with the original project concept. A major change included the use of upholstery with slightly different composition and parameters. We managed, however, to find a solution that would reconcile cost effectiveness with retention of high quality. It should be noted that most parameters were retained in 100% – the upholstery was of colour that complied with the guidelines, it complied with abrasion and flame retardant requirements. Furthermore, the upholstery contained foam poured. It is important, because this technological solution shows much higher resistance than foam cut. Consequently, the material is more compact and resistant to deformations (in this case it is more resistant to kneading), it is less prone to creasing and generally it is more resistant.
